![]() ViaVoice for Mac OS X may have predated iListen (later known as MacSpeech) but before ViaVoice there was Dragon Power Secretary for Mac OS. Actually the first speech recognition for Mac was by IBM and it was called Via Voice, which was acquired by Nuance. Built on Siri’s accurate voice recognition engine, it’s been tweaked for use in dictation and can be used. ![]() ![]() Apple says Voice Control is more capable of understanding the context of what it is asked.
